Thanks to my husband, years of saving and sacrifice, and wonderful friends in Italy, I took an amazing trip with my family at the beginning of October. I posted exclusive daily photo collections here during the trip so I could share all of the wonderful art I saw with my patrons.
Here’s the overview I posted on my blog if you’d like to see the highlights:

October was a very busy month. The weekend after I returned from Italy, I attended an excellent paper clay workshop. You can look forward to seeing more work in 3D soon.

I thought I would get back to painting in the studio the following weekend, but I was invited to a mural painting competition. I placed in the competition for my mandarin duck concept. I will post about my award as soon as the final information comes through.

When I finally managed to get back to painting, I realized I wanted to shift gears with the painting I was waiting to dry. Here’s a blog post about that shift and what it means for future paintings.
After many years of trying to loosen up, I am finally learning to listen to the painting and stop being so rigid.
